Independent Examination For Your Charity

I have worked within the housing sector for over 16 years. For just under 3 of these years, I have worked within charity finance both paid and voluntarily. I have built up an excellent understanding in what charities need to do so that the Charity Commission is satisfied with what accounts are submitted to them.

Is Your Charity Turnover Between £25,000 to £250,000

At present I can carry out examinations if your charity has a turnover between these thresholds. Once I have obtained further qualifications I will be able to examine charities that have a turnover of up to £1m (subject to assets owned). I am a qualified accountant with an approved industry body (IFA IPA) and member of the AAT. I am also an affiliate member of the ACIE (Association of Charity Independent Examiners).

If you appoint me I will provide you within the first stage a review to see if your charity is permitted to have an independent examination and identify if you are eligible for receipts and payments accounts.

If your charity relates to the Church of England Paraochial Church Councils (PCCs) or any other religious or faith based institution and your income is below £25,000 for the financial year, then I will offer an examination each year for no fees or expenses, I will do it for free.

Do you suspect accounting to not be as it should, risks with your transactions, data needing improving and cleaning? Then contact me as I can thoroughly independently investigate and implement prevention and control measures for most types of organisations. Even if you don't suspect these issues, I can forensically audit an area you'd like me to and produce a succinct detailed report with quarterly checking in if requested.

To compliment any investigation, I go right to the granular level as I am also a CIMA Part Qualified Management Accountant by experience and hold a postgraduate diploma in forensic accounting.
